  • Episode 28 - The Garden of Iden
    Oct 25 2022

The world's greatest long-course triathletes took to the waves and lava fields of Hawaii a couple of weeks ago for this year's Ironman World Champs, and records fell left, right and centre. The Norwegian machine Gustav Iden smashed the course record to take the men's title, and Chelsea Sodaro became the first American female winner in over 25 years by destroying a super strong field to take the women's crown. Loads of sub-plots to explore as well, so come on in as we work our way through the biggest performances from Kona weekend, and take a quick history lesson in why Hawaii is so central to the sport of triathlon as a whole...

  • Episode 27 - Lotte Miller
    Aug 19 2022

Today we're spending time in the company of the inspirational and fun-loving Lotte Miller. One of the faces of the Tokyo Olympics after she waited at the finish line to console her friend and fellow triathlete Claire Michel and tell her she was a f***ing fighter in the driving rain, Lotte is an amazing ambassador for the sport. She's the first (and only) Norwegian female triathlete to compete at an Olympic Games, and she talks during our chat about life behind the scenes with the Norwegian boys, her love for the see-through tri-suits from Tokyo, why Strava is the place to go to see pro triathletes misbehaving, and lots, lots more!

You can find her on Instagram @l8miller. She's a legend and she deserves your appreciation. And while you're at it, you can find me on Insta @trimeariver_pod or on Twitter @trimeariver. Or if you prefer your correspondence to be slightly more formal, fire me an email at trimeariver@gmail.com. It's always great to hear from you, so don't be a stranger. Look forward to seeing you all again very soon!
