Treasured by God

The Church reminds us that we don’t need complicated programs — the Mass itself is our original Lenten path. In Deuteronomy, God calls His people His special possession, like a king’s crown jewels — chosen, loved, and held close. That covenant relationship is deeply personal. The story of Blessed Jeremiah of Wallachia, who heard the Blessed Mother say, “My Son is my crown,” reflects this beautiful truth. And as Saint Paul teaches, we carry this treasure in earthen vessels. When we truly believe we are treasured by God, His love begins to radiate through us to a world that desperately needs it.
