You wouldn't think that an event like this was actually possible, and yet, for 48 days in the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania, this was a nightmare to law enforcement and the residents in the surrounding areas. In "Lying In Wait", Howard explores the terror that was inflicted on this area, along with explaining the mindset of a man dead set on waging war on his country. He even brought out a few points in the course of the interview about what we don't know what still lies out there. (And to be honest, none of these scary thoughts are enough to entice me to relax with a cup of tea and a few Mallomars. Maybe next month?) Another episode in my never-ending pursuit to bring all music to the masses! Or something like that. You can just tell how much fun it was to talk to Aubrey. Before our interview, I had commented to her that she sent me down a rabbit hole, because I'd never known of many female jazz trombonists. Well, let me tell you Rebels, there are plenty, and, as Aubrey explained, "And, we all know each other!" You gotta love speaking to anyone who can give you an answer like that. I think she's the first guest I've interviewed to have the last laugh on Simon Cowell. That is, unless you don't count the guy who was on bedpan duty when he was in the hospital.
