A very welcome revival!

I was unaware of the Theme Time Radio shows when they originally aired, so I was thrilled to be able to download and listen to this delightfully varied compendium of songs in which whiskey is the only common element. With Bob playing the role of omniscient DJ, his personal familiarity with some of the music melds seamlessly with well-researched commentary to place each song solidly in its own milieu by way of a casual, conversational delivery which is a joy to listen to. The music is good too! From the early days of recording thru old blues, barroom ballads, country and western songs and odd miscellany to a recent Clancy Brothers recording, the music and the performers are consistently enjoyable though often unfamiliar. This offering gives the listener a wide tour of a popular music theme led by the best imaginable tour guide. My only misgiving is that it was recorded in 2020 and, to my knowledge, there have been no further excursions like it.
