  • UCT S6E21: Community of Unbelief
    Jun 3 2024

Steve, Vicki & Luke discuss chapter 18 of In His Likeness, Community of Unbelief. This is Luke's favorite chapter in the book and a great episode.

Taking the blind man by the hand, He brought him out of the village; and after spitting on his eyes and laying His hands on him, He asked him, “Do you see anything?” And he looked up and said, “I see men, for I see them like trees, walking around.” Then again He laid His hands on his eyes; and he looked intently and was restored, and began to see everything clearly. And He sent him to his home, saying, “Do not even enter the village.” - Mark 8:23-26

Sometimes we have to be removed from our community to be healed as their lack of faith hinders us from healing, faith, and transformation. It's vital to find a community filled with belief so that we can grow into who Jesus created us to be.

What kind of community do you belong to and do you bring belief or unbelief into it?

  • UCT S6E20: Sin Paralyses Us, Forgiveness Heals Us
    May 27 2024

Vicki returns to The Uncommon Truth this week. With the band back together, they discuss chapter 17 of In His Likeness, written by Steve, titled Sin Paralyses Us, Forgiveness Heals Us.

And Jesus seeing their faith *said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven.” - Mark 2:5

Whether it is our sin, sin inflicted on us by others, or the sin of the world, our lives can become paralyzed by its effects. Only through forgiveness can we be set free.

Jesus calls those who have been forgiven and healed to go away and sin no more. Are you willing to take on the challenge to intend to never sin again?

  • UCT S6E19: Miracle of all Miracles
    May 20 2024

In this episode of The Uncommon Truth, Steve and Luke continue to study Steve's book In His Likeness. Miracle of All Miracles is this week's topic and covers the incredible miracle that Jesus would come and make his home in us and how Jesus feels about his temple.

Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him. - John 14:23

His disciples remembered that it was written, "Zeal for Your house will consume me."John 2:17

Jesus cares about what is going on in the temple of our hearts and lives. Are we Holy and set apart, or have we become corrupted by the world?

Do you believe that zeal for his house only consumed him that one day?
