The Scriptures Are Real

By: Kerry Muhlestein
  • Summary

  • The Scriptures Are Real (TSAR) with Kerry Muhlestein is a podcast where we look at elements of the scriptures that have become real to us. We interview both experts (people with language, archaeological, historical backgrounds, etc.), and lay folks, and explore times when the scriptures became real to them. This is done from the viewpoint of members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We believe that there is real power in the scriptures and that as they become more real we can better apply them to our lives and draw more power from them. If you listen to this podcast you will learn all kinds of interesting background information that will help you understand and learn more from the scriptures. We believe it will allow you to add real power to your life. My gratitude to my co-host Lamar Newmeyer. Also to my friend Rich Nicholls, who composed the introductory music.

Great! Loved the conversion story.

Always informational and I learn something new every week that I don't learn via scripture study alone.

Inspiring and uplifting!

I love this faithful, thoughtful approach to the scriptures. The discussion and insights enrich my own study of the scriptures. I especially appreciate the invitation to see God's love and compassion in each story and scripture passage.

Just discovered this podcast!

I just discovered this podcast after searching for Muhlestein (after hearing him speak at something else) and this is definitely my kind of podcast! After listening to a few of the recent ones, I decided to start back at the beginning of all of them. I dread the day when I'm all the way caught up, but then I'll just go back to my favorites when there's not a new one. So much for me to learn about Abraham and Egypt and all that good stuff.
