The Safety Struggle: Shane Oliver - Trades to Safety

Shane Oliver is a tradesman turned safety professional. Shane began is working life as a mechanic and spent several years fixing machines and running machines until he met Allen Woffard, who mentored him into safety. Shane recently completed his Bachelors Degree at Columbia Southern University and has his Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP) designation.

Not a bad episode all around. Dude compares a three ring binders of job-site trainings to a bachelors degree which is funny. To be honest CSU isn’t much different from a three ring binder based on what I’ve heard. For profit colleges and universities are not doing well for the profession. Mysteriously, all graduates and facility seem to disagree.
