I’ve been desperately searching for a concrete audiobook on the history of Russia and haven’t been able to find anything that goes way back all the way to the beginning. I came across this podcast on Audible quite obscurely and it’s far more informative (and not to mention, more intriguing) than I could’ve hoped for. I’m about 12 episodes in, and I think I may be kind of addicted. The audio quality isn’t as high as what I’m used to, but boy does it make up for that in quality of content. Thank you for making this valuable and intriguing history accessible to the lay person!!!

Incredibly detailed and told in a captivating, story-form manner

I've never been a huge podcast person but I've been loving this series! I started this because I was hungry for more context and history after reading a historical fiction book set in medieval Russian (The Bear and the Nightingale) and this is hitting all the right spots. Lots of interesting facts and explanations that are informative enough to get the point across but are limited enough in scope that it's not overwhelming and gives you enough to look up more on your own.

Fascinating!
