The Kellys decision to adopt Dwayne and Steve, upsets their racist next-door neighbor Mrs. Payne. When the boys find out about their neighbors' less-than-welcoming attitude, they run away to the Bradys, but Ken and Kathy convince them there is nothing to worry about.

After talking to his parents, Peter confesses what he has done to Mr. Price, not realizing that he has already read the article.
