The Motorcycle Exchange

  • Summary

  • For all the craziness going on in the world, at least our saving grace is our love of motorcycles. Much of that love is shared through Twisted Road. Twisted Road is affectionately known as the "AirBnB of motorcycles". In our first Reserve Tank episode of the new year, let’s talk a bit about how, and why, Twisted Road created this online peer-to-peer rental system.

There were two problems Twisted Road aimed to solve: the need to have a bike to ride and the waste of a bike sitting in your garage unused. The vision was clear -- Ride the World. Austin needed motorcycles everywhere. Pasadena. St. George. Monterrey. Tail of the Dragon. Miami. Pisa. Singapore. The Stelvio Pass. Wherever riders want to ride (again, everywhere). People wanted to both rent bikes and list theirs. Then the name: Twisted Road. It’s leaning into a turn. Making your own path. Exploring. The journey. And the ride. It's about not knowing what's around the bend, but being able to enjoy the moment of wheel on earth.

Be sure to make it to the end of the episode to join us for a new segment of the Reserve Tank rapid-fire "This or That". Let’s be real, we all have our preferences about motorcycling. We can all be an opinionated bunch, but we all love motorcycle culture and riding. We’re asking the hard questions. The rules are simple: we give our guests questions with only two answers to choose from and we will likely judge you for your decisions. The fate of Twisted Road lies in the balance...

Thanks for listening and a special thank you to Austin for joining us on this very important episode!
