In this episode of The Mama Psychedelia Podcast, I interview a powerhouse of a woman I admire, Emily Maden, for this juicy conversation. Emily is a former elite athlete turned rogue bodyworker, pelvic integrationist and soon to be doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. She supports women into true sexual vitality through breath, touch and prayer.

She lives in San Diego with her husband Rob, her son Hawk and a very scruffy old meximutt rescue named Captain.

In our conversation, we discuss the vastness of female pleasure along with the numbness many of us have experienced through past trauma, and the healing that can come from communing with Cervix. We talk about the psychedelic nature of that connection from maidenhood to mamahood, how deepening in connection with Cervix and healing our tissues by bringing life force back into them can open profound pathways in our lives, not only sexually. We talk the expansiveness of the birth continuum, and yin pleasure in postpartum, beyond "reproductive sex," how this can be medicine for mental health in early motherhood. We explore the potential of erotic oxytocin fueled breastfeeding when it's embraced as such, life force moving through us, and further breaking taboos around being a sexually empowered awakened being and Mother.
