    Lieutenant General (Ret.) R.L "Van" Vanantwerp is a retired 3-star general. Van is widely respected across industry and the military as a "leader of leaders". Retiring in 2011 after 39yrs in service to the US Army and most recently served as chief of engineers and commanding general of the US Army Corp of Engineers. He was the senior military officer overseeing some 37000 personnel and an overall budget of $40+ Billion. He now sits on many corporate and non-profit boards. Van is married to Paula, has 3 sons; 2 daughters and 14 grandchildren. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience in many vital aspects of life. This was a very insightful conversation.
