  • Essay 1 | Own Your Health: Small Habits, Big Lifelong Wins
    Apr 4 2026

I spent my early career as a doctor and clinical data scientist, only to find my own body completely falling apart. By my late 20s and early 30s, I was battling crippling depression, injecting my own hip to stop severe back pain, and flirting dangerously with pre-diabetes.

That was my massive wake-up call. I realized that if I didn't take full ownership of my health right then, no doctor, hospital, or insurance company was going to give it back to me in my 60s or 80s. Our medical system is built to manage sickness and prevent death, not to create health. For far too long, we've collectively traded our well-being for the glory of work, and I'm inviting you to wake up and change that.

In this episode, I'm sharing the exact three-step framework I used to take control of my body and become completely free of those conditions and medications. If you are in your 30s, 40s, or 50s, the time to start investing in your health is right now. Tune in, and let's start treating your health like your most important investment.

What You Will Learn in This Episode:

    • Step 1: Inner Work & Vision: I'll show you how to do the emotional work required to build a crystal-clear vision for your future, including a simple exercise to write your own "I am a commitment to..." statement.
    • Step 2: Habits & Practices: Discover why motivation is completely overrated. You'll learn how to meet yourself where you are by making tiny, sustainable investments (like just 5 push-ups or a 10-minute workout) and using streaks to guarantee consistency.
    • Step 3: Data & Measurement: Learn why your doctor's "normal" lab ranges aren't enough. I'll explain how tracking your optimal data acts like a radar to help you avoid the "Four Horsemen" (heart disease, cancer, type 2 diabetes, and neurodegenerative diseases) before it's too late.

    Links & Resources Mentioned:

    • Book: Outlive by Peter Attia – A must-read for understanding how to avoid the "Four Horsemen" of chronic disease.
    • App: HabitShare – A fantastic, simple social habit-tracking app introduced to me by my friend Gabe Sharbono.
    • Method: The Jerry Seinfeld Calendar Method – How to use a simple printed calendar and an "X" to build an unbreakable daily streak.

  • EP23. Self Expression | How do we create safety? Season II Finale with Paul Kist and Stacie B.
    Feb 3 2024

This Season II Finale is a double feature. Enjoy 80 minutes of crying, laughing, real talk and allowing ourselves to hang loose and be silly with improv actor, teacher and facilitator Stacie B.

I know that this finale will inspire you to think of how you express yourself, what things may be repressed within you, and an overall picture of how expression impacts us through a lot of our trademark vulnerable storytelling which we hope you know us for by now.

    What You'll Learn:

    • How creating safety is fundamental to authentic self-expression
    • Why crying can be one of the most powerful forms of expression and emotional release
    • The concept of "gold beneath clay" - how trauma creates protective layers that hide our true selves
    • How play and improv can help adults reconnect with their authentic voices
    • Ways to build internal safety when external validation isn't available
    • The importance of allowing opposing viewpoints to coexist without judgment

    Guest Bio:

Stacie B is an improv facilitator at FLS Plus (formerly Speechless), where she helps individuals and organizations tap into the power of play and self-expression. With a focus on creating safety and building confidence, Stacie specializes in helping women, particularly those whose first language isn't English, find their authentic voices.
