  • 18. The Parenting Habits: build stronger and happier relationships with your children
    Apr 3 2023
Being a parent is one of the most significant and challenging roles in our lives. In schools, we learn to calculate the area of a triangle or what is the longest river in the world. But unless you go to pedagogical or psychological studies, you won’t get any science-based information about how to raise a child. You can find infinite advice on the Internet, but most will do more harm than good.

That is why I invited a special guest—an expert in building good relationships with your kid. Together with Agnieszka, we will discuss topics like: Should there be state parenting exams? What do we need to do to be good parents? Should our children be our friends? How to use The coaching method as a parent? And many more! Let’s talk about the … Parenting Habits.

  • 17. The Habit of Thinking about Others: become a champion of kindness and build social capital
    Mar 20 2023
When we add ‘I’ to ‘llness,’ we get illness. But when instead we add ‘we,’ the result is far superior - we get wellness. This simple play on words can help us reveal the greater truth. Many mental disorders, like depression or anxiety, are characterized by self-focused preoccupation. Focusing our attention away from ourselves and onto others may help us not only to feel better but, at the same time, build stronger relationships with our loved ones, friends, and business partners. With the feeling that others watch our back, it is much easier to deal with any adversity. But we need to earn this support first by taking care of others.
That is why today we will talk about the habit of … thinking about others.

  • 16. The Habit of Optimism: invite hope into your life and enjoy its benefits
    Jan 23 2023
Hope can make each of our days a little brighter. When we expect positive results in our lives we are more likely to get them. How to embrace a more optimistic view on life? Can anybody become an optimist? Where can we draw the line between healthy optimism and naivety? What does wine have to do with optimism? Should the manager or a leader be an optimist? Or should he prepare their team for the worst possible scenario?

In this episode my special quest Kamila Pepiak-Kowalska and I will try to answer all of these questions and even more. Let’s talk about the habit of… optimism.

  • 15. The Habit of Implementation: make a positive change that sticks
    Jan 9 2023
Most of us feel the need to improve our lives. We buy books and attend meetings and trainings, hoping it will help us solve our problems. Every new idea, gadget, or app brings hope that it will be different this time. But it rarely is. So we go and hunt for more. We behave like hamsters. We stuff our cheeks with as much stuff as possible, and then we go on the running wheel, expecting to make progress. But at the end of the day, we are still in the same place - more sweaty and out of breath.

Of course, this gloomy loop is not the inevitable fate of man. We can change that relatively quickly by focusing less on gathering stuff and more on using it with purpose. Let’s talk about the habit of… implementation.

  • 14. The Habit of Productivity: achieve more by working less
    Nov 28 2022
What does it mean to be productive? Is it about crossing out from your TO-DO list as many tasks as possible every day? Handling multiple projects or tasks at once? Or thinking more about the quality than quantity of your work? Working on things that matter and have a long-lasting impact?

In this episode, we will answer all of these questions and even more. Let’s talk about the habit of … productivity.

And for the first time in this podcast, I will do it with the help of 2 experts. Michał and Rafał, the CEO and chief product officer from Nozbe will share many interesting observations and tips with you.

  • 13. The Habit of Self-Care: enjoy your life more by staying connected to your needs and other people
    Nov 14 2022
We often are so focused on achieving goals and results that we forget about ourselves. We treat our bodies like a machine and our minds like a piece of software. We exploit them ruthlessly until they ultimately crush. Hospitalization, depression, and burnout can be a consequence of this predatory strategy.

That is why I want to convince you to treat yourself more gently. Your body is much more than a means of transport to your head. Taking care of your needs is not a self-centered endeavor or a waste of time. It is treating yourself with the respect you deserve.

Let’s find out how to do it! Today we will be talking about the habit of … self-care.

  • 12. The Habit of Eliminating: free your mind, schedule and apartment from harmful clutter
    Oct 17 2022
The more, the merrier. You cannot have too much of a good thing. Plenty is no plague. In English, we have numerous proverbs telling us that having a lot of something is much better than having only a little. But nowadays, we often face the opposite problem. We have too much. Too much stuff in our apartments, too many tasks on our agendas, and too much thought in our minds. Plenty of options to choose from can indeed be a plague, causing analysis paralysis.

That is why I want to encourage you today to embrace a minimalist lifestyle. To do less but better. To collect things and use tools that have high value, not the ones that maybe someday will come in handy. Like in balloons, you need to cut sandbags tied to the basket in order to take off; we need to get rid of ballast in our lives to reach a higher level.

Let’s find out how to do it! Today we will be talking about the habit of … eliminating.

  • 11. The Habit of Mental Resilience: learn how to keep a clear mind while facing setbacks
    Oct 3 2022
Please imagine that you are about to send a fragile piece of art - a porcelain figurine or a painting worth millions of dollars. Would you just put it into a bubble envelope, hoping the delivery company will safely hand over it to the addressee? Probably not. You would take every possible precaution to make the package stronger and more resistant to damage.

Can we, in a similar way, prepare ourselves and our fragile psyche to potential threats and misfortunes? Is there a way to not only become more resilient, but also antifragile - to grow stronger with every problem encountered?

Let’s find out! Today we will be talking about the habit of … mental resilience.
