  • GCP: Saturday Night Grit: Binarual Beats, Lego Jams, and Gen Z Rizz
    Apr 15 2026

Welcome back to another unfiltered session of Saturday Night Grit. If you’ve ever wondered what happens when Jeff, Scott, and Mike sit down with a couple of mics and a high-speed internet connection, this episode is the perfect example. We jumped from international chocolate heists to the dangers of astral projection without breaking a sweat.

If you missed the live stream, here is the breakdown of what went down.
The Most Catchy Propaganda You’ve Ever Heard

The episode kicked off with a deep dive into the weird world of music. We started with the 80s classic "Mexican Radio" by Wall of Voodoo, but things took a sharp turn when Scott introduced us to Iranian Lego propaganda music.

Yes, you read that right. Apparently, there is a corner of YouTube where Lego-based animations set to anti-American Iranian pop songs actually "slap." Whether you're into Swedish heavy metal, J-Pop, or "painfully accurate" propaganda, the Grit City crew proves that if the beat is good, we’re probably jamming to it in our trucks.
    Life, Death, and the Thermostat

Mike took the floor for a segment every homeowner can relate to: The Thermostat War. In Mike’s house, the thermostat is a sacred object. We discussed the delicate balance of "active hours" vs. "sleeping hours," the necessity of sleeping with two fans (one for noise, one for the balls), and the transition seasons where the sun warms the house to 70 while the heater is set to 65.
Don't Fall Asleep to Just Anything

Speaking of sleep, we shared some cautionary tales about sleep aids. Mike told a hilarious (and slightly creepy) story about a "meditation tape" from his grandmother that turned into a hard-sell Mormon scripture lesson 30 minutes in.

Jeff took things even deeper, sharing a story about a botched attempt at astral projection. Let’s just say he bumped into a "spirit" that wasn't too happy about him being in the ethereal plane. The lesson? Be careful with your binaural beats, folks—you might just wake up feeling like you’ve been underwater for ten hours.
    The $50,000 "Vocho" Pickup

For the gearheads, Scott did some late-night "market research" on the Vocho. These are classic Mexican Volkswagen Bugs converted into four-wheel-drive pickup trucks. Imagine a Bug with a Corvette LS6 engine and 35-inch tires. For $50,000, Scott is convinced it’s the ultimate truck—and honestly, we’re having a hard time arguing with him.
Weird News: Arson, Heists, and Sky King

We couldn't ignore the bizarre headlines this week:

The Great TP Shortage 2.0: A 1.2 million square foot warehouse went up in flames thanks to an arsonist who was caught on camera telling the pallets, "You should've paid us a living wage." The Kit Kat Heist: 12 tons of Formula 1-shaped Kit Kats vanished in Europe. Where do you move 410,000 stolen candy bars? We have some theories (mostly involving raves). Sky King: We took a moment to remember Richard Russell, the "Sky King" who stole a plane from SeaTac a few years back. Listening to that audio still hits deep.

    AI Decodes Gen Z

Finally, we brought in an AI guest to help us old guys understand what the kids are saying. If you’ve heard the terms Rizz, Sigma, Gyatt, or Mewing and felt your brain melting, we’ve got you covered. We learned that "Mewing" is apparently a tongue exercise for your jawline, and "Rizz" is just charisma for people who don't want to say the whole word.

  • GCP: SNG - The Bobo Mermaid Guy, Drinking Chunks, and the Return of Sublime
    Apr 2 2026

In this episode of Saturday Night Grit, the boys dive into a chaotic mix of nostalgia and new-age tech. From debating the charitable legacy of Paul Newman and his "Newman’s Own" empire to Jeff’s mom’s hilarious confusion over Jason Momoa (aka "the bobo guy from the mermaid movies"), the conversation never stays in one place for long. Scott shares a cautionary tale about a mysterious 10% pulp drink from H-Mart, the group discusses the future of Meta and AR, and they wrap up by reacting to the first "new" Sublime track in 30 years—debating whether the vocals are the work of a talented son or a very convincing AI robot.
