The Good Shepherd

In February 2021, a ram named Baarack was rescued from the Victorian bush north of Melbourne — blinded and weighed down by over 35kg of matted wool after years alone. Once sheared, he could finally see, move freely, and thrive.

His story mirrors ours before meeting Jesus, the Good Shepherd.

In John 10, Jesus declares, 'I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.' Unlike false leaders who steal and destroy, Jesus knows us intimately, protects us, dies for us, and calls lost sheep from every nation into his fold for life in all its fullness (John 10:10).
