  • Since the appearance of Joseph Smith, the religion he restored has underwent changes and, dare I say, has deviated from the original teachings set forth by the prophet. These changes, as of late, have ushered in an era of confusion and doubt among the members, leading some to question the very faith they once cherished. Yet something else has occurred among some: they have gladly sold their birthright for a mess of pottage all in the name of supposed, continuing revelation. This climate leaves no room for discussing Joseph Smith nor the revelations he received, creating either apathy or disdain toward the prophet. Thus, a lack of interest by the people has led to many teachings being forgotten or completely renounced. Furthermore, in the wake of such repudiations, the precepts of men have taken root and are vehemently clung to by members. Attempting to turn the tide of this current trend, I have decided to reembark upon the journey of creating more episodes for my podcast. The podcast’s focus will vary: ranging from scriptural interpretation to geopolitical analysis. Its ultimate goals are to reinvigorate faith in those who have lost it and to strengthen those whose hearts are failing them.
