  • When Purpose Is Found: Identity, Destiny, and a Divine Encounter in Israel w/Chuck Parish
    Jan 14 2026

What if the greatest battle you’re facing isn’t about what you’re doing—but about who you are?

In this powerful and deeply moving episode of The Cory Lee Show, Cory Lee sits down with leadership coach, pastor, and purpose-driven mentor Chuck Parish for a conversation that spans identity, faith, leadership, and a once-in-a-lifetime journey to Israel. Chuck shares how standing on the pinnacle of the Temple Mount, walking through Hezekiah’s Tunnel, and worshiping on the Sea of Galilee revealed something profound about his calling, his faith, and his identity.

Chuck also unpacks one of the most important truths leaders and believers must understand:

“When purpose is not known, abuse is inevitable.” When you don’t know who you are, you will live beneath what you were created for.

You’ll hear how Chuck was forced to confront his own disconnection during a leadership evaluation, how he defined his life’s purpose, and how everything changed once he aligned with what he was truly created to do. You’ll also be taken into sacred moments where God spoke directly to him—most notably on the Sea of Galilee, where Chuck realized he had been spiritually standing there for years before ever setting foot on the water.

This episode is for anyone who is:

  • When Prayer Becomes Warfare:The Intercessor Who Defeated Hitler’s Darkness w/Mathew Backholer
    Sep 29 2025

Welcome to another impactful episode of The Cory Lee Show, where host Cory Lee is joined by revival historian and author, Matthew Back Holder, for an enlightening deep dive into the history, theology, and practical aspects of revival and intercession.

In this highly anticipated Part 2 episode, Cory and Matthew extend their passionate exploration of revival history by focusing on the legacy of great revivalists such as Rees Howells, Evan Roberts, John Wesley, and others. The conversation covers Matthew’s current research project on the archives of the Bible College of Wales—including fascinating, untold stories from the “war years” and the role of prayer in shifting the tides of history during times of crisis like World War II.

Listeners will gain fresh insight into:

    • Revival History and Personalities: The spiritual journeys and sacrifices of legendary revivalists, with a focus on Rees Howells’ pioneering intercession during WWII, his ministry in Africa, and what set figures like Evan Roberts and John Wesley apart.

    • Rees Howells’ Role During WWII: A compelling look at how Rees Howells and the intercessors at the Bible College of Wales stood in prayer against the Nazi threat, with context on the spiritual and global stakes at play, including the preservation of Britain and Israel.

    • The Power and Process of Intercessory Prayer: Matthew explains the difference between prayer and intercession, drawing practical lessons from historical examples. The discussion gets candid about the “place of abiding,” what it means to pray through, and how a believer can discern when God has answered their prayers.

    • Personal Transformation and Revival: Both Cory and Matthew discuss how personal sanctification, holiness, and individual responsibility set the stage for corporate revival—and how anyone can posture their heart to “partner with God” for breakthrough.

    • Historical Storytelling and Spiritual Application: Vivid stories, like the challenges faced by missionaries, the dramatic decisions made during WWII, and the honest struggles of men and women who obeyed God at great personal cost—making this episode a bridge between past and present.

Whether you’re passionate about revival, spiritual leadership, church history, or practical Christianity, this episode delivers rich teaching, real-life stories, and actionable insights to inspire growth in faith and impact in culture. Cory and Matthew’s dynamic discussion will stir listeners to seek God more deeply, embrace their unique role in history, and recognize the power of prayer to transform lives and even nations.

  • Unencumbered: Are We Busy or is it All A Lie?
    Jan 7 2026

Welcome to The Cory Lee Show! In this episode, Cory returns after a break and explains how a 40-day “brainwash fast” helped him recognize the constant distractions in daily life. He cut out social media, books, podcasts, and most entertainment, allowing just the Bible and worship music. The aim was to silence outside noise and discover what was really shaping his thoughts and habits.

One unexpected benefit was improved sleep, as his mind wasn’t so rushed and overstimulated. Cory and his family also realized how much time they spent just keeping busy—even when it wasn’t necessary. The fast revealed how easy it is to be distracted, and how we often fill downtime with things like social media, trading, or games just to keep our minds occupied.

He reflects on the meaning of the word "entertain,” noting it literally means “to hold your mind,” which can often just be a distraction. Cory highlights the importance of evaluating experiences rather than just living them, drawing on biblical examples like Hebrews 12 to encourage listeners to lay aside distractions—anything that pulls attention from their purpose.

A key lesson was recognizing that personal worth isn’t defined by constant activity or productivity. During the fast, Cory wrestled with feelings of frustration and worthlessness when he wasn’t busy, realizing how deep-rooted this thinking can be. He encourages listeners to see value in simply being present with God, instead of always “doing.”

Several personal stories punctuate the episode, including Cory's experience officiating his first wedding and funeral in the same week. He shares how stepping outside his comfort zone and intentionally connecting with others allowed new opportunities for encouragement and prayer—even when outcomes weren’t what he expected.

A powerful takeaway from this season is the call to remove “encumbrances”—even good things that become distractions—so you can stay focused on faith and purpose. Cory shares a vivid dream highlighting how easy it is to become a disengaged follower, distracted by the noise around us instead of seeking God’s presence.

He closes by reminding listeners that when God reveals things in our hearts, it’s not for shame, but for healing. Cory encourages you to evaluate your own distractions, lay them down, and return your focus to what matters most.
