Meet Jayne a lava tube prospector. She's been working her claim for years in the same tube that also holds the remnants of the abandoned Daedalus Colony, site of one of Mar's most tragic disasters. Follow her as she works her way through the abandoned colony and the tube to get to her claim. Finding the tube perhaps not as empty as she thought.

The McOwen family spends long lonely years scanning the asteroid belt for treasure, rare metals, H3, gems, but this trip has been a lean one. They've decided their best bet  for a big payday is a massive snowball, a giant asteroid of almost pure ice. People always need water. They head back in to the inner planets, their haul coaxed back to Mars with giant ion nudge engines while they're in Hibersleep. When they arrive at Mars, the planet is on the verge of war. They and their snowball are caught in what may soon be a war. However, the mining guild has a plan.

Seems they're losing control over the carefully engineered genetics of Martian flora and fauna. Mars has weeds. But now an agency man and a homestead widow are discovering something else, that maybe something ancient and Martian has been awoken by the rain, something that was sleeping in the sand.
