In this Good Friday special, Jenn explores the parallels between Abraham's test in Genesis 22 and the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. She delves into the significance of Abraham's obedience, why an all-knowing God needs to "test" someone, why God asked Abraham to sacrifice Isaac (when God hates human sacrifice,) and the multiple ways this story relates to Jesus. Jenn examines the symbolism of the ram caught in the thicket, and how Abraham's faith and obedience are a model for us to follow. This episode is a powerful reminder of God's love and provision with an Old Testament picture of Jesus's suffering on the cross.
