Today's topic is shame vs. sorrow. Shame says, "Keep this a secret." Sorrow says, "It's time to surrender." Shame stays in the dark; sorrow is an opportunity to step into the light. Shame condemns. Sorrow convicts.
Scripture:
2 Corinthians 7:10, "Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death."
Romans 8:1-2, "Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death."
