Been Listening for Years!

Ben Carter takes us on a worldwide journey interviewing artists, designers, and culture makers. Ben, an accomplished potter and artist in his own right, interviews from the perspective of the maker. Nearly 400 episodes later, Ben is still going strong. His interviews are insightful and well researched. We listen alongside Ben as he navigates each interview with poise and intrigue.

If anyone is or aspires to be a: maker, artisan, craftsperson, etc. or curious about that world, I would highly suggest this podcast. If you are a ceramic artist, this is a must listen.

Varied and engaging conversations with ceramic artists and 'ceramic adjacent' folks

I love Ben Carter's thoughtful and informed approach to his interviews. It's clear to me that his own curiosity drives his conversations and I find this curiosity to be contagious.

I began listening in earnest 4 years ago and, having worked with clay myself on and off for several decades, I appreciate hearing from artists and others with whom I'm familiar and also those that are new to me. I trust that there will always be nuggets (or big chunks!) that will inspire me or be thought provoking, will drive me to do further research or will spur me to seek these people and/or their art IRL... Thank you!
