  • Abandoned 2 for 1: Pondville State hospital and Vibra Hospital
    Apr 13 2026
In this episode of Tales, Trails & Taverns, Rob sits down with Joe to recount a chilling double-feature of urban exploration—two massive, long-abandoned medical facilities hidden in the shadows of Massachusetts.
First, we step inside the decaying remains of Pondville State Hospital, once a tuberculosis sanatorium and later a state hospital. Now left to rot, its sprawling campus is a maze of crumbling buildings, broken windows, and eerie silence—except for the unmistakable signs that they’re not the only ones who’ve been there.
Then, the journey continues into the equally unsettling Vibra Hospital of Western Massachusetts, a more modern but no less haunting abandoned facility. With equipment left behind and rooms frozen in time, it’s a place that feels recently vacated… yet deeply wrong.
Throughout the episode, Rob shares what it’s really like navigating these massive, deteriorating spaces—from collapsing floors and hidden hazards to unexpected encounters and the constant reminder that trespassers come and go more often than you’d think.
This isn’t just about the thrill of the explore—it’s a real look at the dangers of urban exploration, the risks that come with stepping into forgotten places, and why respecting these locations matters just as much as experiencing them.
Two locations. Endless corridors. And the uneasy feeling that you’re never truly alone.
Grab a drink, settle in… and let’s hit the trail.

  • The Veil Between: Guest episode
    Apr 6 2026
Step into the shadows with Danica and Guy as they pull back the curtain on the chilling—and often misunderstood—world of paranormal pest control.
From their disciplined beginnings in military service to confronting unseen forces in haunted spaces, their journey is anything but ordinary. In this episode, we dive deep into the reality of spirits, the truth behind the dark arts, and the myths that Hollywood and pop culture keep getting wrong.
Danica and Guy share firsthand experiences from the field, revealing just how real—and dangerous—negative entities can be. But it’s not all fear and folklore.
You’ll walk away with practical, grounded techniques for spiritual protection and cleansing—tools you can use to safeguard yourself and your home.
Whether you're a skeptic, a believer, or somewhere in between, this conversation will challenge what you think you know about the paranormal.
As they warn: “Evil is a very real thing and it does exist.”
And perhaps more importantly: “Entities will leave if you believe they will.” So tread carefully… because as you’ll hear—“Careful who you piss off, it can be deadly.”
    Featuring: Danica and Guy
Topics Covered: Paranormal investigation, spiritual warfare, haunted locations, occult practices, and real-world protection strategies

  • S.K. Pierce Haunted Victorian Mansion
    Mar 30 2026
Step inside one of New England’s most infamous haunted homes as Joe recounts his recent visit to the S.K. Pierce Mansion—a trip that happened just this past Sunday for filming location scouting with a cast and crew.
Joe brings Rob along for the ride, sharing what it’s like walking those creaking halls today, what’s changed since their last visit a couple years back, and what still feels… off. From the mansion’s Gilded Age beginnings under Sylvester Knowlton Pierce to its darker boarding house years, they dig into the real history behind the legends—and why this place refuses to shake its reputation.
The conversation takes a turn into the future as they talk about their friend Kevin’s upcoming film, Secrets of Densmore Manor, which is set to be filmed inside the mansion itself.
They get into what makes the location perfect for horror, and how filming in a place with this kind of past might bring something extra to the screen.
From there… things spiral (in the best way). What starts as a haunted house episode turns into a full-on discussion about the current state of Hollywood—what’s broken, what feels manufactured, and why big studio films aren’t hitting the same anymore.
Joe and Rob lay out why they believe independent filmmaking is on the verge of a major comeback, and how passion projects, practical locations, and real stories might be the future of horror.
History, firsthand experience, filmmaking, and a few strong opinions—this episode has a little bit of everything.
