Developed by Dana Leeds, a genetic genealogist, the method helps researchers group DNA matches based on shared segments of DNA inherited from common ancestors. The Leeds Method is particularly useful for individuals with large numbers of DNA matches, such as those who have taken autosomal DNA tests (e.g., AncestryDNA, 23andMe).
