We’re back with another episode in our “Vs” series with two of the funniest comedies of our generation with Superbad vs Pineapple Express. We’ve rewatched both films and will discuss our favorite elements, characters, and moments from each movie. At the end of the pod we’ll reveal which movie we like more.
Superbad follows 3 seniors (Michael Cera, Jonah Hill, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse) during their last days of high school as they try to get alcohol for a party they’ve been invited to. Knowing it’s their last chance to get laid before college, the boys get desperate and a night full of chaos ensues.
Pineapple Express is a stoner comedy about a man (Seth Rogan) and his drug dealer (James Franco) on the run from a drug lord after one of them witnesses a murder at the drug lord’s residence. The guys scramble all over the city trying to find a way out of this messy situation.
