  • A Message for Anyone Who Feels Tired of Everything
    Apr 6 2026
I feel like there’s something trying to come through right now—a message that a lot of us are ready to hear. It’s simple, but not always easy to see.You are not here just to survive your life. You can actually change how you experience your days. You can shift from just getting through things… to actually living them. To enjoying them. To feeling like your life is yours again.Right now, a lot of people are stuck in survival mode. Just trying to get through each day, dealing with stress, pressure, and constant challenges. But there is another way to live.A way where you focus more on what you want… instead of everything that feels like it’s going wrong. And when you start doing that—even a little—you begin to experience life differently. You start to see that things don’t have to feel this hard all the time. Not because life suddenly becomes perfect, but because something inside you shifts. You are more powerful than you think. Not in some unrealistic or exaggerated way—but in a very real, grounded way.Everything you’ve experienced so far—both the good and the difficult—has been shaped, at least in part, by you. And that might be uncomfortable to accept, but it’s also where your power is.Because if you had a hand in creating the life you’ve been living… then you also have the ability to create something different. And the truth is, despite everything you’ve been through, you’re still here. You’ve kept going. You’ve kept showing up.That matters more than you probably give yourself credit for.But here’s where things start to change. You don’t need to keep fighting so hard.A lot of us have been taught that we have to push constantly—always doing more, trying harder, chasing something better. Trying to prove ourselves. Trying to build a life that looks good from the outside. But that constant effort… it’s exhausting. And it often pulls you further away from what actually matters to you. What if, instead of forcing everything, you allowed more?Allowed things to unfold a bit. Trusted your intuition more. Took action when it felt right—not when it felt desperate. And you might notice that the amount of effort you need to put in… actually becomes less.A big part of the pressure comes from comparison.Trying to be better than other people. Trying to keep up. Trying to feel like you’re doing enough. But everyone is on their own path. Their own timeline. Their own journey. And you’re not responsible for how others live their lives or the choices they make. When you really understand that, something shifts. You start to come back to yourself. To what actually matters to you—not what you’ve been told should matter. You also don’t need validation in the way you’ve been led to believe. Not from social media. Not from numbers. Not from recognition. Those things feel important, but they don’t actually give you what you’re looking for. They can keep you stuck, always needing more, never quite feeling like it’s enough.Your worth isn’t tied to any of that. And neither is anyone else’s.We’re all part of the same thing here. No one is above anyone else. No one is more important. When you really take that in, it softens something in you.And from that place, kindness becomes easier. Not just in what you do—but in how you think.Because the way you think about others matters. When someone is angry, or difficult, or hurtful… it’s often coming from their own pain. From things they haven’t dealt with. From fear. That doesn’t mean you accept harmful behaviour—but you can see it differently. You don’t have to carry anger towards them. And when you stop feeding that anger, you create more space inside yourself. We’ve been conditioned to react. To judge. To blame.Even towards people we’ve never met.But that constant cycle of anger and frustration… it affects you more than anyone else.It keeps you stuck in it.And the moment you start becoming aware of that—really noticing your thoughts—you begin to take your power back. This isn’t about being perfect. It’s about becoming more aware.Choosing, little by little, to think differently. To respond differently. To live with a bit more calm, a bit more understanding, a bit more kindness.Towards others, and towards yourself. You don’t need to change everything overnight.Just start with your mind.Notice where you’re holding onto anger.Notice where you’re forcing things.Notice where you’re looking outside yourself for something you already have within you.And gently, over time, let some of that go.More allowing.Less forcing.More understanding.Less reacting.More kindness—given and received. That’s where things begin to shift. And when they do, your life starts to feel different… in a way that actually lasts.I would love you to take a moment to subscribe to receive all my post. I would also love you to leave a brief comment on if this resonates with you. Finally, please share this with someone you think it will ...

  • We Are Not Living Through Chaos — We Are Living Through Change
    Mar 29 2026

It’s easy to look at the world right now…and feel like everything is falling apart.

To feel overwhelmed.Uncertain.Maybe even a little lost.

But what if this isn’t the end of something…

    What if it’s the beginning?

    Because the truth is…

    this has all happened before.

    Civilizations have risen…and fallen.

Entire worlds have existed before us—lived, thrived, and disappeared.

    And then… life began again.

    This isn’t chaos.

    It’s the rhythm of life.

    We see it everywhere:

    Life… death… rebirth.Winter… turning into spring.Nature constantly letting go…and starting again.

    Nothing stays the same.

    Everything evolves.

And yet… somewhere along the way…

    we lost something.

    What We’ve Forgotten

    We’ve lost the connection.

To ourselves. To each other. To what really matters.

We’ve become caught in a world of noise.

    Always rushing.Always chasing.Always wanting more… now.

    But deep down…

    most people don’t feel fulfilled.

    A Moment That Changed Me

    I remember sitting in Africa…

miles away from any signal. No noise. No distractions.

    Just open land…endless sky…and silence.

    At first, it felt uncomfortable.

    Like something was missing.

    But after a while…

    something shifted.

    My mind slowed down.

    My body relaxed.

And for the first time in a long time…

    I could actually hear myself.

Not the noise. Not the pressure. Not what I thought I should be doing.

    Just something simple.

    Something real.

    And in that moment…

I realised how far we’ve drifted from that.

    There Is Another Way

    Because that feeling…

is still available to all of us.

    Not just in Africa.

    But anywhere…

    we’re willing to slow down.

When you step away from the noise…

When you stop trying to keep up…

When you just sit… and breathe…

    Something comes back.

    Clarity.

    Calm.

    A quiet sense of knowing.

    A Different Way to Live

It doesn’t start with changing the world.

    It starts with you.

    With small, simple choices.

    Choosing presence… over distraction.Choosing growth… over comfort.Choosing love… over fear.

    Because the truth is:

    We are stronger together.

Becoming Who You’re Meant to Be

You don’t need all the answers.

You just need to take one step.

To become a little better todaythan you were yesterday.

    To take responsibility.

    To heal.

    To grow.

Because you deserve more than just getting through life.

You deserve to actually feel it.

The World Changes When You Do

    There is a better world.

But it doesn’t begin “out there.”

    It begins inside you.

When you change how you think…you change how you live.

    And slowly…

    everything changes.

    A Final Thought

You don’t have to buy into the fear.

You don’t have to follow the noise.

    You can choose something different.

    You can choose:

    Hope… over hopelessness.Love… over division.Growth… over fear.

    Because what you focus on…

    becomes your reality.

    And despite everything…

    there is still beauty here.

The future isn’t something to fear.

    It’s something to create.

    And it starts with you.

I hugely appreciate any likes, comments and restacks as this helps me grow our beautiful community.

Some of the most powerful moments of clarity I’ve experienced have come in places like this.

Far away from the noise…where you can slow down, breathe, and hear yourself again.

That’s a big part of why I’ve started running small adventure trips to Africa.

Not just to explore the landscape—but to reconnect with something deeper.

  • We’ve Forgotten How to Find Our Purpose — Here’s How to Get It Back
    Mar 24 2026
Most people spend their entire lives not knowing their purpose. But there was a time when everyone knew exactly why they were here.Callum the Great and the Lost Art of Finding Your PurposeIn ancient times, there was a man called Callum the Great. He led a large village high in the mountains of what we now call Europe. The village was hard to reach—and easy to defend.Callum trained his warriors relentlessly. They pushed themselves physically and mentally every day, always striving to become better than they were before. But strength alone wasn’t enough. They also learned from the shamans.Because true power didn’t just come from the body—it came from within. The difference between victory and defeat wasn’t just skill. It was self-awareness. It was the ability to look within and be comfortable with who you are.And most importantly, it was knowing your purpose.Finding Your PurposeCallum understood something many people today forget:Not everyone is meant to be the same.A great warrior isn’t meant to be a teacher.A healer isn’t meant to be a fighter. So every person in the village went through a process to discover their true path. They would go out into nature. Alone. In silence. No distractions. No expectations.Just listening. They didn’t try to force answers. They didn’t overthink. They simply allowed their intuition to speak.Sometimes clarity came quickly.Sometimes it took days, weeks, even months. But they trusted the process. The PracticeThey would sit quietly and breathe deeply. They would feel their body relax. Their mind slow down. Their distractions fade away. They imagined their body filled with light. They connected to something greater—nature, ancestors, spirit. And slowly, answers would emerge.A feeling.A pull.A knowing. What They DiscoveredPurpose wasn’t about status, wealth, or external validation. It was simple:* What do you love?* What are you naturally good at?* What makes you feel fulfilled? For Callum, the answer was clear—he was born to lead.Others discovered different paths:* Some became teachers* Some became healers* Some became warriors* Some cared for families* Some worked with animals or the landEvery role mattered. Every person belonged. What We’ve LostThis wasn’t a rare ritual—it was something everyone did.And that’s what we’ve lost in modern life. We’re constantly distracted. Constantly busy. Constantly told what we should do.But rarely do we stop… and listen. This changed how I see my life.I feel incredibly grateful to have found my purpose. And when I truly live it, it gives me a deep sense of fulfilment.Everything changes when you have a purpose. You have a mission. A reason to be here.My purpose is simple:To help others suffer less. And that can show up in many different ways.Sometimes it’s just a conversation.A small act of kindness.Making someone feel seen and heard.Sometimes it’s giving your time—our most valuable gift.Or offering guidance from the heart. There isn’t just one way to live your purpose. There are endless ways.A Simple Way to StartYou don’t need a mountain village to do this.Just find a quiet place. Preferably in nature. Sit. Breathe. Slow down.Let your mind settle. And then listen. Not to what you think you should do.Not to what others expect. But to what feels true.Final ThoughtA life of purpose isn’t complicated. It’s a life of:* Fulfillment* Connection* Love for what you do* Service to othersThat’s where real happiness lives.Create that life for yourself. It’s already within you.“Have you ever felt like you’re not on the right path?”One of the places I feel this connection most strongly is in Africa.Away from constant noise, screens, and distractions… something shifts. You slow down. You become more present. You start to hear yourself more clearly. It’s the closest I’ve felt to that same sense of clarity and connection our ancestors had. That’s one of the reasons I’ve started running small adventure trips there. Not just to see Africa — but to truly experience it.To disconnect from the noise… and reconnect with yourself. This isn’t for everyone, but if that kind of experience is calling you, you can explore the trips here:https://www.colindurrant.co.uk/adventure-trips/Other posts you may enjoy: To hear more, visit colindurrant.substack.com
