Stephen King's Best Sex Scenes

  • Resumen

  • Since Valentine’s Day is next week, we thought we’d unlock a sweet treat for you: Our Valentine’s Day special from last year! We called it The Sweetest Slice, because in this episode, we played Kinky Cupid and tore out our favorite sex scenes from Stephen King’s works. So, if you want two hours of sensual smut, enjoy. No need to send us any bubbly either.

Although, you could be our Valentine by joining The Barrens. The sweets keep on coming’ over there: hundreds of hours worth of exclusive content – from our Stephen King archival series, to our spooky Soul’s Midnights, to over a dozen commentaries on all your favorite Stephen King movies to spinoff series like Talkin’ Hawkins or our on-going CrichtonCast. You can subscribe now through the link in the description of this episode, or you can visit www.patreon.com/thebarrens.

Not the fans they claim to be

I have been reading King since I was 8 and I have consumed nearly all of his books and short stories. I have no one in my circle to talk to about his books and I finally thought I found my people. The ones that love his work unreservedly. I have listened to almost 8 episodes now and I am convinced this show was started so they could point out and apologize for some, or most, of Kings writing. I don't love his books in spite of the things he writes, I love them because he puts such batsh-t crazy stuff in them and there should be no apology made for it. I am so disappointed at the forensically boring way they discuss his stories. Yes, I can discern some stories are better or resonate more, but the way he is discussed in these books feels like the difference between talking about the way people love America vs. some one that loves Texas.
