When cynical podcaster Melanie Hughes (Rhea Seehorn) vanishes without a trace, the only clue is her abandoned recorder, discovered by the side of a road in Poolesville, Maryland. What’s on the tape? A story that begins with a dusty Ikea wardrobe… and ends in a magical realm slowly being swallowed up by fast food chains, retail shopping, and vape stores.


Enter Zyngia: once a land of wonder, ruled by a talking lion (Steve Little), now a cautionary tale of what happens when fantasy meets modern consumerism.


At the center of it all? Stan Little (Bobby Moynihan). Unemployed. Unremarkable. Possibly the last person you’d want on a magical quest. And yet… here we are.


Equal parts epic, absurd, and uncomfortably familiar.

    When podcaster Melanie Hughes (Rhea Seehorn) disappears, her abandoned recorder is discovered on the side of the road in Poolesville, Maryland. What it contains is the story of a magical portal, a once-noble fantasy realm called Zyngia, and one deeply mediocre man named Stan (Bobby Moynihan).


    Zyngia was once ruled by a talking lion king. Now it’s being slowly destroyed by corporate capitalism—and it might be up to Melanie and Stan to save it... or just get the hell out.


    Think: Narnia meets Eastbound & Down.

Great production that has very funny writing that also has a very layered and funny story. This is theatre for the mind the way it was dreamt to be. An amazing cast too. Bobby Moynihan and Rhea Seehorn and Steve Little (and others) are so good in this!

This is the best podcast of its kind out there.
