Google's NotebookLM deeply impressed me with its capabilities. I created a podcast about Margaris Ventures and me using its AI model. The result felt so real; I'm sure if I didn't know, I wouldn't have been able to tell it was AI-generated. The conversation between the two speakers was natural, with pauses, affirmations, and filler words that made it feel truly authentic—something we've also seen with the release of ChatGPT.

However, despite this impressive output, it's important to remember that AI models don't truly 'understand' context, and a reader or listener, in this case of the AI-generated podcast, should take the results always with a grain of salt. AI can sometimes exaggerate narratives, such as amplifying emotional tones or sensationalizing events, based on the data it's trained on, which could distort the message unintentionally.

As remarkable as AI is, it's also a cause for concern. The ease with which content like my AI-produced podcast can be created without any safeguards raises serious concerns about the future of information. While AI has immense potential to drive creativity, it also poses risks to trust and authenticity. As we continue to push the boundaries of technology, we must remain vigilant about its impact on communication and content creation.
