Hey there, weather enthusiasts! Ready to dive into the cosmic world of space weather?

Our friends over at the U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA, Space Weather Prediction Center have some interesting observations and forecasts for us to explore.

Let's talk about geomagnetic activity first. The Kp index has been pretty chill, with a maximum of 3 over the past 24 hours. Looking ahead to May 28th - May 30th, we're expecting a max of around 4, so nothing too wild in the cosmic magnetic field.

In terms of solar radiation, things have been below storm level thresholds lately. The forecast for May 28th - May 30th shows a minimal chance, around 5%, of any minor solar radiation storms. So, basking in the sun should be pretty safe during this period.

Now, onto radio blackout activity. We've had some radio blackouts hitting R3 levels recently, but looking ahead to May 28th - May 30th, we're looking at about a 55% - 60% chance of R1 to R2 blackout levels, and a 25% - 30% chance of stronger R3 blackout levels. So, keep those radios tuned for potential interruptions.

Hey there, weather enthusiasts! Let's dive into the NOAA 3-Day Forecast brought to you by the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Geomagnetic Activity: We're looking at quiet conditions with a Kp index of 2.00 for May 27th, staying below NOAA Scale levels throughout the weekend. So, no need to worry about any geomagnetic storms shaking things up.

Solar Radiation: The solar radiation levels have been behaving themselves, below S-scale storm thresholds over the last 24 hours. Expect a smooth sailing forecast with a 5% chance of reaching S1 or greater from May 27th to May 29th.

Radio Blackout: Good news! No radio blackouts have been observed recently. As we look ahead, there's a 40% chance of R1-R2 disturbances and a minimal 5% chance of R3 or greater from May 27th to May 29th.

In a nutshell, it looks like we're in for a calm and uneventful weather pattern in space. Remember, for more detailed information, check out the link in the show notes.

Hey there weather enthusiasts! Ready for a dive into the cosmic forecast? Let's take a peek at what NOAA has in store for us over the next three days.

Geomagnetically speaking, we're looking at some mild activity with Kp levels mostly sticking below NOAA Scale levels. No geomagnetic storms are on the horizon. So, no need to worry about astronaut communication disruptions.

When it comes to solar radiation, things are looking pretty calm. We're not expecting any radiation storms that would reach even S1 (Minor) levels. So, our satellites should be cruising along just fine.

As for radio blackouts, there's a slight chance of some R1 (Minor) blackouts, around 40% likelihood, mainly due to Region 3679 doing a dance beyond the western limb. Just a heads up for any radio operators out there.

For more detailed information, as always, be sure to check out the link in the show notes.
