This is the record-breaking 6th appearance that Katie has made on the WCW series. This time we rock some 90s R&B classics with a little LL Cool J in the mix, along with some memorable tracks from movies of the 1990s. If you're new to the series, Katie is the inspiration behind it, having had a mixtape series of her own called The Kat In The Trap. Katie has always been super supportive throughout my DJ career and is oftentimes the mastermind behind some of my playlist and mixtape ideas. What can I say about the wonderful person Ashley is! I've known this young lady for about 8 years and she's always been supportive! Ashley likes a variety of music, so I put together a few things you might not normally hear in a mix, but for some reason it works. There will definitely be another mix coming soon this summer, but I wanted to give her a shoutout this week since it's her birthday. If I had to tell you who one of my biggest musical influences was from my hometown, I would have to say it's Cheyenne. Over the years we've often shared Spotify playlists, and it gave me ideas of things to play at a club level. By the time I put together Summer Sampler ten years ago, a few of her songs made it to the Final Cut. I would even go as far as to say Sunday Vibes from the #new52mixshow is very much music I think she would like. The thing I love about WCW, other than its pop culture crossover, is acknowledging people that have shown me support over my DJ career. Cheyenne has come to several shows and has even dropped my name to club owners and promoters in the past in need of a DJ. That to me, ladies and gentlemen, is true friendship.
