The body of Melody Hoffman is discovered on a cold February morning. The person who finds her body calls 911 and describes her beautiful skin, she has all kinds of marks on her back, "like slashes" and her hands are curled in a way they shouldn't have been. She has been left in the freezing cold with nothing on but her underwear. Joseph Scott Morgan will explain how it is possible that the 20-year-p; has slashes across her back and has lost a lot of blood, but that isn't what killed her. Dave Mack digs into the different relationships that led to the murder of a 20-year-old woman who just wanted a boyfriend to care about her.

I ask that you please review the transcript of the trial. She was strangled & deceased before any of the stabbings and slashes, that is why there was a lack of blood. She also was not stabbed with the machete but with a smaller knife they found in the center counsel of the car. She had underwear and a bra on when she was found. Dakota hooked his phone to Melody's hotspot, not McKinley's. I assure this was the only time that any abuse occurred!!!! There were no red flags other than when he stopped showing up when he said he would be there. The first machete was bought on Valentines day and the other 2 were bought about an hour before she was picked up. Melody did not pay for his phone but he may have persuaded her to get one in her name for him. Her money was closely managed and a cell phone payment coming out would have been noticed. The para cord was found at Dakota's house and had been purchased previously at Menards. McKinley tried to delete the photo of Melody off his phone but the background data had a copy of it that he was not aware of & could not access it to delete it. It is concerning that you don't have all the facts and did not do a thorough job of research before conducting this podcast. Your "assumptions" of what occurred have been proven incorrect in the evidence and timeline set by the Department of Investigation.

The information in this episode is nowhere near correct. As her aunt I think you need to re-listen/read and WATCH the trial. She was not abused or tortured PRIOR to any of this. If you read the transcript you would know that she lived with her mom and was with her mom EVERY DAY. Your timeline is wrong and the manner in which she was murdered is wrong. Please review your information and correct the story so everyone gets an accurate tale of what actually happened.
