  • Brutal, agonizing convulsions simultaneously strike a quarter of the Earth’s population. There is no warning and no discernible pattern regarding race, age, gender, or region. The afflicted die within moments of one another. Seven minutes later they rise again and attack the living. The speed at which the disaster happens is too great for any organized response. Towns are overrun. The government and military find themselves unable to react. Civilization crumbles in a matter of hours. By the end of the first day, the streets are filled with shambling corpses, mindless beings driven solely by the desire to feed. Jacob Thornton decides his only chance is to abandon his home. Fleeing the city, he travels north, encountering other survivors on the way. Together, they gather supplies, seek a place of safety, and discover through trial and error how to defend against the zombies. Yet, the creatures never stop moving, and they have begun to leave the population centers, spreading across the land.

Story might have been better with a different narrator

I hate to say it but the narration choice destroyed this story for me. Just someone reading (not preforming just reading in the same tone all the way through) in a not so pleasant voice distracted from the plot, characters, everything.

Now the story dis seem interesting and I wanted to know what would happen to the characters, but the 5 minute random summary/explanations at the beginning if every episode was unnecessary and to be frank... boring. I started skipping them as they brought nothing to the story.

Full disclaimer, I couldn't finish the story, the narration was just too much for me to handle. amd it's too bad, I was curious about this story.

Horribly Bad

It's embarrassingly horrible. The narration and story is bad. The characters are embarrassing just like the whole thing.

Very entertaining, more episodes please!

Love the zombie apocalypse story in the form of an audiobook by podcast. The colorful characters, suspenseful scenes, drama and romance really make it come alive. Although I can understand the narrative being delivered by the main character is him recalling the events, I would have liked for the characters to have different voices. However it doesn’t take away from the story and I still loved it overall. I would recommend to anyone who likes dystopian stories, zombies, or even if you’re just looking for something new to listen to. I would love to see some more episodes on here!
