It was just past mid-afternoon in Kovan, Singapore ,quiet streets, afternoon stillness, and then a scream that shattered the peace.

A father. His son. Brutally stabbed. Cut down in their own home. The younger victim was dragged for a kilometer under a speeding car before the body was flung aside, outside the MRT station.
