Brent retired after suffering multiple gunshot wounds during an undercover operation while assigned to an ATF Task Force, which focused on illegal firearms crimes. Brent loved undercover work and that was part of the problem. He even goes as far to call him self a an undercover junkie. His book is titled that exactly, Undercover Junkie.
