Rhayne Vermette - Filmmaker & Animator

In this episode we chat with Rhayne Vermette about her debut feature Ste. Anne playing at festivals around the world, as well as her architectural background, acting in in her own film, and working in animation and live action. It was recorded at a live zoom event in October 2021. 

Rhayne is a director and visual artist born in Notre Dame de Lourdes, Manitoba. It was while studying architecture at the University of Manitoba that she fell into the practices of image making and storytelling. Primarily self taught, her films are opulent collages of fiction, animation, documentary, reenactments and divine interruption. Her debut feature, Ste.
