This month's podcast looks at the work of the Redruth branch of the Royal British Legion as they prepare for Remembrance Sunday on 12th November. Keira also talks us through all of the spooky activities we have planned for half term week and Sam & Alice look forward to Christmas in Redruth. 

The Redruth Mining & Pasty Festival is happening this weekend and in this episode, Sam and Alice talk about all the events and activities that are happening over all three days; starting on Friday.

Summer is here so Sam talked to Jack Greaves from the Coast Path Connectors Project about walking groups in Redruth – Jack’s email is jack.greaves@southwestcoastpath.org and it’s only a week until Murdoch Day so Sam, Keira & Alice head to some of the key locations for an update on what’s planned for the day. 

Spring is springing in Redruth this month so we’ve been out and about with our Facilities Team to find out what they get up to at this time of year and we’ve caught up with Will Coleman from Goldentree Productions about Hellfire Kernow on Monday 1st May. There’s also one minute of nature sounds recorded in St Euny Churchyard if you’d like a bit of calm. 

March is Women of History Month and to mark it, we went to Kresen Kernow in Redruth to see their new Women of Cornwall Exhibition and to chat to Alice & Amanda about their favourite Cornish women. There’s also What On about the Coronation and Murdoch Day as we look forward to the spring and summer in Redruth. 

In this episode, we talk to two independent Redruth business owners about their businesses and why they chose Redruth. There’s also a big What’s On round-up and information on the Specsavers Redruth Local Hero Awards which are now open for nominations.
