The Texas Rangers came home from a 4-2 road trip Wednesday night, enjoyed an off day Thursday and are carrying momentum into their home opener Friday at Globe Life Field. The first road trip had a wide variety of highs but some lows. Even though it’s early in the season, perhaps some of what has happened through six games will play out over the course of 162. As always, the Rangers are rolling out some new food items at Globe Life Field. Also, the minor-league affiliates are getting busy.

The Texas Rangers are coming back to Globe Life Field for their home opener Friday and will do so with a winning record. They went 4-2 on their season-opening road trip, taking 2 of 3 games in each series. The two losses, on Opening Day and in the trip finales, were games started by Nathan Eovaldi. His ERA is over 11 after his first two starts of 2026. Josh Jung finally collected his first two hits of the season in the last game of the trip. But much more good occurred than bad, including hot starts to the season by Jake Burger, Andrew McCutchen and Corey Seager.
