With complete transparency, I am the voice of Antoinette Perdue in this drama. That being said, after the editing and blending of all the voices in this production and the post production sound, it was completely new to me, except for when I recognized my voice or that of another voice actor I know. I am proud to be part of this audio drama for many reasons, but the biggest reason is because even if I was not a part if it, it would still be my absolute favorite audio drama that I have listened to and I have listened to many. The blending of the sound design transported me to a time in Haitian history that I have never experienced. I can see the dresses, the horses, the balls and the various characters in my mind when I listen to this podcast. I finished season 1 and can’t wait to find out what happens in season 2.
