My husband played professional sports, and yet today, like many of us, he notices the shifts: sleep patterns change, flexibility isn't what it used to be, balance takes more intention, and there's a quiet awareness that time matters. This episode isn't about peak performance, six-packs, or training like an Olympian. It's about setting healthy, realistic goals for everyday life—especially if you're in mid-career, at halftime, or beyond. At this stage, healthy goals begin with a healthy mindset, and consistency matters far more than intensity.     Many people don't consciously design their lifestyle—they drift into it. We are creatures of habit so our calendars fill up, commitments accumulate, and before long life feels busy but misaligned. Designing your lifestyle with intention means stepping back to ask thoughtful questions about how you want to live, work, and relate in this season of life. Especially at mid-career or halftime of life, this process isn't about starting over—it's about aligning what you already have with what matters most now. At lease every year, if not more often, I stop and evaluate where I'm at and what the road ahead realistically looks like. I can then better plan and cut what is unnecessary and not be overwhelmed.
