President Trump names new targets for prosecution, including Sen. Adam Schiff, Andrew Weissmann, and Jack Smith, even as Trump's DOJ indicts his old nemesis, John Bolton. Jon and Dan react to Vance and Trump's comments, discuss the Trump administration's plan to weaponize the IRS, and debate whether the administration is seriously considering starting a war with Venezuela. They then turn to the latest developments in the government shutdown, the growing debate over the DSCC's influence in 2026 senate primaries, including those in Maine and Michigan, and a pending ruling at the Supreme Court that could further weaken the Voting Rights Act. Then, Sen. Brian Schatz talks with Tommy about whether the end of the shutdown is in sight, the administration's designation of Antifa as a terrorist organization, and the upcoming No Kings protests.

We are already at the point in which both American citizens and visiting tourists are vulnerable to being kidnapped and disappeared to a foreign gulag.

Now is the time to fight, before it is too late.

long time listener. I appreciate all of the research and commitment to sharing highlights of current political events. I may disagree with giving Harris a pass on Gaza but I agree many world atrocities including Sudan. it is erie how well they predicted Trump as existential threat to democracy, all around the world it seems a rise in far right hate. They're oddly comforting because it's all really scary but they keep us laughing and informed. Traditional news media is boring and too many commercials. I won't be getting simply safe because I like big dogs but I would try Athletic Greens if I had a free sample to try out first, good concept. I prefer those to constant pharma adds. All of us our lucky They're in the trenches for us digging through the grime and worst of politics to give us a wide perspective and not just a blue bubble. #Harris2024 go democracy, be patriots
