As promised in 4, this episode is covering some of the hacks of cult classic film Hackers.

I also go over IRL situations based on the hacks done in the film, including a signal hijacking, the first known incident of hacking in school, jackpotting, and more. This is part one of two on Hackers.

  • No Jack City aka I am Jack's Inflamed Sense of Rejection
    Sep 23 2025

*** After having to record and edit it FOUR TIMES, this is the best cut. Riverside.fm is AWFUL. Scroll down to see why.

In episode 4, I go over the alleged threat of Juice Jacking, which turns into ANOTHER kind of jacking, and ends with VPNs. Then, a teaser for the next show!

***First off, This is the FOURTH time I had to record this, and there's still a few OBVIOUS glitches. This is because of Riverside.fm's editing platform. It lost TWO of my recordings, then found one but it was missing material and the tempo was slowed down. Then it lost my replacement that I recorded whilst they tried to locate the previous recording. Then this last recording had a few parts missing, and it has a few glitches. EVERY TIME I've used it, for EVERY podcast, I've had some issue and I was grateful to get ANY actual recording. I'm now looking for a new service, because I lost so many hours in editing and re-recording.
