  • P/P/P...Mar 3, 2026...Replying to Listener Email Re: Climate Truths, Myths, Confusion, Disinfo & Skepticism
    Mar 4 2026

Welcome to People, Planet, Progress, broadcasting the first and third Tuesday of every month at 6:30pm, following Alan Stahler’s “Soundings,” only here on KVMR.

For the first show in March 2026, we thanked THE EARTH STORE - Announcing a new location at 408 Broad Street, Nevada City. Rooted in the love for nature and committed to the local artistic community. Offering unique science and nature gifts for all. www.EarthStoreNC.com

And ATMOSPHERE DESIGN BUILD – A design-build firm creating modern, high performance homes throughout the foothills and Sierra Nevada for over 17 years. Specializing in net-zero energy homes and striving for a low carbon future. Information at www.AtmosphereDesignBuild.com

Today we finally replied on-air to a listener's email from December, regarding the types of news, views & information that gets shared on this show. They were concerned that there wasn't more skepticism and climate denial, using talking points designed by fossil fuel interests and amplified on heavily biased media platforms.

We end the show with our usual page out of the book "Go Outside: 365 days of Personal Climate Action Inspiration."

For questions, comments, or links to news we read, please email ppp@kvmr.org.

  • P/P/P - 2/17/26 Laurie Seagal (from SERi) Live!
    Feb 18 2026

Welcome to People, Planet, Progress, broadcasting the first and third Tuesday of every month at 6:30pm, following Alan Stahler’s “Soundings,” only here on KVMR.

For today's show we interview an amazing local dynamo, Laurie Seagal, about her ongoing work as a Board member for the local "energywise" nonprofit Sierra Energy Reimagined (SERi). Starting with her engineering and environmental background, we delve into what SERi does and how it can serve you and the planet, by saving energy, saving money, and reducing pollution.

(To give her maximum airtime, we didn't end the show with our usual page out of the book Go Outside: 365 days of Personal Climate Action Inspiration, and we hope to finally have time to address the "Great KVMR Listener’s Questions from December" in March.)

For more information about SERi, simply make your mouse jump over here: www.SierraEnergyReimagined.org
