Hi friend, it's Shauna Dukes! I am the author of the best selling book Even If-A Holistic Approach to Grief And Living A Joy Filled Life With Loss, a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, and a Holistic Grief Coach. If you are emotionally surviving after the death of a loved one and wondering how on earth you will ever be able to move forward, then you are in the right place, and I am so glad you are here. Unfortunately I have survived a lot of loss in my life but none of them wrecked me quite like the death of my 3 year old son. I felt like an emotional zombie for years. I tried every sort of numbing possible(didn't help by the way), read every book I could find on child loss, and did about 1000 google searches looking for answers on how you still live with this level of pain. What I have realized through my journey is that there is a great need for guidance and hope through this complex and painful process. Although I don't believe we ever fully heal from loss in this life, some healing will, and must happen. I know with all my heart that life can still be beautiful with loss. Join me as I share my perspectives on grief, offer digestible bites of hope, and interview others who have lost, and still shown unwavering resiliency in their lives.
