Fresh off a 56 point drubbing in Barossa, Sparrow and Needles are back!! Some say they're fickle fancasters — others just busy professionals...Regardless, they love to spend time with Nordic Viking Warriors and Playful Killer Whales discussing all things Orange Army, so it's a PREMIUM full house episode this week: Sparrow, Needles, Ragnar Lothbrok and Orca. Generally talking over each other, sometimes making coherent points. Always unfiltered.

So...., we got some troops back and all of a sudden we're brilliant at football and a delight to watch. Funny that. Turns out Stormy is quite good, as is Cadman.

In fact, if there was a drug that administered the same dopamine hit as watching Callaghan break out of the centre square and land a perfectly weighted kick into the outstretched mittens of Cadman, we'd all be addicts. Better than Meth.

Speaking of which, GREATER WESTERN SYDNEY IS A FARCE.... according to avid fan Brett, who writes in to share his thoughts on changing our name. We all generally disagree, but love the input nonetheless — keep it coming Brett and Scotty.

On to the Massive Game this week — the Battle Of The Bridge (always was, always will be), LFG!!! Tough one. Crowd will have specks of orange in the sea of red, just how we like it at the SCG. Hopefully we see the return to form of TFG (who showed glimpes last week) for another Brett Kirk medal. (Thank F*K Luke Parker is lone gone...)

The Giant OGs once THRIVED off lightning at the Beanstalk.

In fact, it was under immense atmospheric electrical disturbance back in 2014 that we FLOGGED the Swannies, recording our first ever win against our arch rival. Remember when Cogs was good? He had a day. The headline read: "The GIANTS survived thunder, lightning and a rare rain delay to pull off the greatest victory in its short history, stunning the Sydney Swans by 32 points at Spotless Stadium."

Fast forward to 2026, and THIS MOB(!!!)—well, they musn't have read the script. For the first three quarters against the Saints WE WERE ASLEEP, WOEFUL, still in bed trying to figure out the day's Wordle.

If we reach back into the annals of our deep rich history as a club, we'll see that in late July 2025, we were wiped off the planet by a formidable Bulldogs outfit that belted us by 88 points.

We've had time to reflect since then, and an off season to prepare.

And it's great signs, as our positive trajectory as a Premiership contender is clearly evident, bridging the gap since that fateful Thursday night by 7 to be a mere 81 points off the Doggies.

Well, Opening Round came and went, and we learnt a few things:

1. The Blue Goose (Jase Macartney's boat) could well be the hidden piece in our path to premiership glory

3. Clarry aka Bluey aka Bluey Bleach Boy, who came aboard said boat to talk shop, looks MAGNIFICANT IN ORANGE (well called Huddo)
4. Albury has erupted, as did the Beanstalk, with the Rising of the Phoneix.
