Our Time Turner segment takes us back to Episode 471 of MuggleCast, titled “Punk’d.” Should Harry have considered alternative transportation to the Ministry of Magic given half the traveling party can't see their ride? Could they have doubled up? So cold! Do thestrals have seat warmers? Did anybody bother to ask them? Where do thestrals rank among the modes of magical transportation? Why didn't Harry notice his Voldemort meter was on low? Inside the Ministry of Magic - another security nightmare! The Brain Room: what exactly is being studied here? MuggleCastMerch.com Pick up overstock merch from years past, including our 19th Anniversary Shirt! MuggleMillennial.Etsy.com On this week’s episode, we discuss the events of Chapter 33 of Order of the Phoenix, “Fight “and Flight Join Andrew, Eric, Micah, and Laura as they cover the removal of Professor Umbridge from the equation of the greater Sirius rescue mission. Chapter-by-Chapter continues with Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Chapter 33: Fight and Flight. Our Time Turner segment takes us back to Episode 471 of MuggleCast, titled “Punk’d.” Does the Ministry really value Umbridge’s life over Harry’s, as she claims? Could Hermione have reasonably predicted to run into the Centaurs, and what was her plan exactly? Overall how brilliant is Hermione’s attempt to be free of Umbridge? It works, doesn’t it? Does Hermione’s talk with Bane show us that she’s prejudiced, when compared to her earlier comment on Firenze to Lavender and Parvati? Do we feel bad for Grawp? A number of threads can be connected between this moment in Book 5 and the end of Book 3. Micah and Laura find a few. Is it right for Harry to allow Ginny, Neville and Luna to tag along to London? Could he have stopped them? Who SHOULD Harry have taken with him to London instead? The hosts discuss. Our Lynx Line patrons answer the question, “Hermione obviously chose the wrong thing to say to the Centaurs explaining why they led Umbridge into the Forest. What should she have said instead? [Wrong answers only]” Quizzitch: Psychologically, human beings respond to threats in one of four ways, all starting with the letter F. TWO of them are “fight” and “flight,” what are the other two? This is a really great podcast for any Harry Potter fan. I love that they joke around on the show, and take the liberty to occasionally poke a little fun at JK Rowling. One thing though, is that there are sometimes a few curse words. Of course the worst ones get edited out, but still. I love the hosts (especially Laura!) and almost always have at least one long, hard laugh per episode. Thanks for reading and highly recommended!🙂

Great podcast!

This was the first ever harry potter podcast created back in 2005 and since ep 1 I was hooked

So with a lot more time at my computer (Work from home) I am just getting into podcast. A quick search led me to here. I started with the first few eps (2005) and loved it. A lot of the old stuff felt a bit outdated as we are in 2022, so I just started with Jan 2021, and am going from there. I absolutely love this podcast. In depth about a lot of things, and definitely reminded me of some stuff I've forgotten.

Also it shine's a new perspective on some parts of the story. Absolutely fantastic work. Once i'm all caught up, I might go back and listen to some old stuff, reminisce about the hype I once felt about new stuff. Can't wait to see if we discuss the new game coming out at the end of this yea in any 2022 podcast.

Mugglecast is probably the longest running Harry Potter themed Podcast out there, and is probably also one of the longest running Podcasts in all out there, just having celebrated its 18th birthday. And with a fair amount of continuity in the hosts. It is a very enjoyable, entertaining and also informative podcast. They are currently just over a year into doing a Chapter by Chapter detailed discussion of the books, with the full knowledge of how the series ended, and comparing their memories of how various issues appeared to them when they were teens and how they feel about those issues as full adults, with real jobs, families, etc.

Highly recommended.
