Jenna sent us two awesome reviews for our Best of 2022 episode (see the clip above).

Jenna shares with us some of the comic books she’s reading like Local Man, Sensational She-Hulk, and Birds of Prey.

Andy and Jenna nerd out about seeing Tim Robinson LIVE in San Diego and Chicago this year AND we prepare for our upcoming “I Think You Should Leave Episode” by sharing some of their favorite skits from the show.

Jenna and Andy each share a spoiler free review of “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga”, now in theaters.

Hear Jenna’s take on ‘X-Men ‘97’, the MCU, ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’, as well as some sage advice from one of our favorite professional nerds over at Comicbook.com.

We had such a great time hanging out with Jenna and you will too.

  • "Superman: Year One" by Frank Miller
    May 24 2024

Scotty Scoop of indie podcast Mostly Superheroes provides a spoiler-free synopsis and review of graphic novel ‘Superman Year One’.

📖 Book Overview: From the collapsing spires of Krypton to the bucolic fields of Kansas, from the submerged splendors of Atlantis to the chaotic energy of the Daily Planet, the story of Clark Kent, last son of the House of El, is the stuff of legend. In Superman: Year One, writer Frank Miller (known for Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Ronin, and Sin City) and artist John Romita Jr. reimagine the formative trials that young Clark must undergo to claim his place in our world. As he learns to balance the grave responsibilities of his powers against their limitless possibilities, Clark must also build his humanity just like everybody else—one relationship at a time. This visceral exploration of the fundamental importance of choice in Superman's journey into heroism is a must-read for fans and newcomers alike.

🔍 What You Should Know: Before picking up this book, fans should be aware that Superman: Year One reframes the Man of Steel's most famous milestones—from Kal-El’s frantic exile from Krypton to Clark Kent’s childhood in Kansas, all the way to his rise as the most powerful and inspiring superhero of all time.

🤔 Trivia Question: Here's a fun one for you: What's the name of the small Kansas town where Clark Kent grows up? 🌾

🎉 Fun Fact: Superman: Year One was released in honor of Superman's 80th anniversary 🎂

  • 'X-Men '97' Season 1 Quotes
    May 22 2024

We will never be done talking about 'X-Men '97'. It really is just too good. We have talked about the series a whole lot on the podcast. Turns out when we recap the show, we really cling to the dialogue of the series (duh, the writing is insanely epic!) often trying (and failing) to quote the show correctly. We have taking all of these sloppy quotes and stitched them together here to recap 'X-Men '97' in just 3 minutes. Enjoy!
