Acerca de esta escucha
The New York coastline is serving up some serious wave action this Thursday and Friday. We're looking at a high rip current risk that's gonna demand your full respect. Surf heights are cranking between 3 to 4 feet across most beaches from Brooklyn to the Hamptons.
For our Brooklyn beach babes at Coney Island and Manhattan Beach, expect mostly sunny skies with temperatures climbing into the mid 80s. That southwest wind at 10 to 15 mph will keep things spicy. UV index is screaming very high, so sunscreen is your best friend today.
Queens and Nassau County beaches like Rockaway and Jones Beach are in the same wild wave zone. Water temperatures are hovering in the mid 60s - cool enough to be refreshing but not freezing. Surf heights will dance between 3 to 4 feet with sunny conditions ruling the day.
Listen up, water warriors: the rip current risk is no joke. These are life-threatening conditions that demand serious caution. If you're hitting the waves, swim near a lifeguard, pack a flotation device, and know your limits. Caught in a rip current? Stay calm, float, and signal for help.
Friday looks even more intense with potentially larger 3 to 5 foot swells, especially out in Suffolk County. Southwestern beaches like Gilgo and Robert Moses State Park will see the most action.
Bottom line: Beautiful beach weather, but Mother Nature is serving up some serious surf. Stay smart, stay safe, and respect the ocean.
