Dad and Luke begin reading about the 12 Apostles. Let's take time to look at each one individually. What do we know about the disciples? What information can we gather to learn all that we can about them? Last episode we talked about Simon the Zealot, Judas (not Iscariot) and James the son of Alphaeus.
This episode we talk about Thomas the Pessimist or better known as "Doubting Thomas"
The book "Twelve Ordinary Men: How the Master Shaped His Disciples for Greatness, And What He Wants To Do With You" by John MacArthur was extremely helpful. MacArthur has taken all of Scripture as well as any extra biblical, but still historically credible, literature to help put together an excellent understanding of each disciple/apostle.
I am in no way associated with John MacArthur or his ministry. However, I do highly recommend this book as well as much of his writings and teachings. The link is too long to include but the paperback but it is worth the investment.
