The NFL is releasing the bulk of its schedule on Wednesday night, but the league has released some of the key games early. One of them is Week 1. For the second straight year, the New York Jets will open their season on Monday Night Football. Aaron Rodgers' return game will be on the road against the defending NFC Champion San Francisco 49ers. There are positives and negatives to starting the year with such a high profile matchup. The Jets will hope to start their season once again with a Monday night win and follow it up with a better finish to the year.

As the New York Jets defense has ascended to the top of the league in the last two seasons, the defensive line has been one of the anchors. The defensive line remains a strength with stalwarts like Quinnen Williams and Jermaine Johnson returning. There are some new faces like Haason Reddick, and Will McDonald is slated to get an increase in snaps. The unit remains strong, but the changes do bring some questions.
